Repairing a Washing Machine Again

Repairing a Washing Machine Again

While after the last repair old trusty BLUESKY washing machine started to have problems again - it did not remove water during the cycle and, after a while, it entered an error state. Water had to be removed manually.

In such case the usual suspect is the water pump, but after initial inspection, it wasn't blocked and it rotated during "water out" program. Outlet hose was checked, as well as drainage - both were OK.

I removed the washing machine from under the counter and tilted to gain access to washing's machine "belly". Before continuing water had to be removed.

Time to inspect other waterways.

Removing clamps
Rubber piping removed
Drum and heater visible
Rubber piping is in good state

Close inspection of the rubber piping reveals the problem...

Something is blocking the drain...
It was a coin and a piece of a local supermarket fidelity card. Fidelity card perfectly fit the pipe blocking the water from escaping.

After assembly and water drain test - all is good again.
